Colors of Bangkok Deluxe: Explore Bangkok’s Green Lung in Style

The Colors of Bangkok Deluxe tour offers a premium way to experience the hidden side of the Thai capital. For your comfort, our professional guide will pick you up directly from your hotel and provide a private transfer to the starting location. Although your preferred starting time can be discussed, we highly recommend departing in the morning. After a quick bicycle fitting and safety briefing, our adventure begins.

This deluxe excursion takes you through parts of the city that most travelers would never discover on their own. Cycling through Bangkok’s Green Lung makes you feel miles away from the urban center, even though the city’s hustle and bustle remains surprisingly close. You will explore an almost traffic-free world filled with narrow pathways, lush gardens, and tropical vegetation.

Journey to the Heart of the Green Jungle

Our office on Rama III Road is only a few minutes from the ferry pier. From here, the ferry takes us across the Chao Phraya River to Bang Krachao. While waiting on the riverbank, you can admire the impressive Bhumibol Bridges. These enormous structures rise approximately 40 meters above the water.

Once we cross the river, we enter the Bang Krachao subdistrict. Locals affectionately call this area Bangkok’s Green Lung or the “Green Jungle.” Covering approximately 16 square kilometers, it is the largest natural oasis near the city center. We cycle along elevated pathways through dense vegetation and beneath the shade of coconut palms. You may even recognize some familiar houseplants, although they grow much larger in this tropical environment.

Culture, Boxing, and Relaxation in Bangkok’s Green Lung

Our first stop is Wat Bang Krasop, a local Buddhist temple with a history dating back approximately 700 years. Please mind your head when stepping inside, as the ancient entrances were not designed for tall modern visitors. Afterward, we stop at “Coconut Lane” for freshly brewed coffee or a cold refreshment.

We then continue deeper into the green surroundings to visit a traditional Muay Thai gym. Here, you will learn about Thailand’s national sport. If you are a boxing enthusiast, you might even receive a short lesson from the trainer.

The adventure continues with a peaceful excursion on the water. You can choose between a paddleboat and a canoe to glide through a tunnel of nipa palms. Afterward, local massage therapists will provide a relaxing 30-minute foot massage. Simply sit back and enjoy the tranquility of Bangkok’s Green Lung.

A Culinary and Scenic Finale

During morning tours, we stop for a delicious lunch at the famous Bangkok Tree House restaurant. Afterward, we cycle along small rural roads to the beautiful Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park. We also stop at a statue of Ganesha, where your guide will explain the influence of Hindu deities on Thai Buddhism.

You do not need to be an experienced cyclist to enjoy this trip. We maintain a relaxed pace and make plenty of stops for photos and drinks. The Colors of Bangkok Deluxe tour is an unforgettable experience for guests of all ages.
